July Re-Read TBR

I have been wanting to re-read a few books for a while now, but with my ever growing TBR, I can never justify to myself setting aside time to rereading books I have already read when I have so many unread books on my currently TBR. However, with the unexpected time that was Lockdown and the extra time that gave me to read and knock a load of those unread books off of my TBR, I think it’s the right time to set aside some time to re-read some of those books I’ve been wanting to.

The books I’ve been wanting to re-read range vastly from some of my all time favourite books, to books I straight up disliked when I read them. Some I wish to re-read simply because of the time I read them and now that I’m older and am more mature, I feel I could enjoy it more or appreciate it more. Or because of its subject topic, even though I enjoyed it, I haven’t read it since. Or simply just wish to re-read.

Some of the books I wish to re-read during July are;

  • The Yellow Wallpaper
  • Animal Farm
  • Frankenstein
  • The Lovely Bones
  • What We Saw
  • The Great Gatsby
  • Alice
  • The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and My Hyde

A load of these re-reads are classics, which I have had a mix response with, so I wanted to include not only some of my favourites, but some I struggled to get through the first time around. Fingers crossed that not only will this time around will I enjoy the books I didn’t enjoy that much this time around, but that I will get a better enjoyment out of those that I did.

The list of re-reads would have been bigger, but not only am I currently in a bit of a reading slump so I don’t want to put too much pressure on myself, but I also want to continue on with my current reads this month.

Wish me luck guys 🤞

Hello! My name is Shayney Hardcastle. I am a massive book enthusiast so I created this blog as my own little place where I can write and express my thoughts and review each book I have read. I am 23 and am currently living in a small town in Wales, in the United Kingdom, and love how reading let's me explore the world outside of this small town. I have also recently been sent more and more books and ARC by authors to review and wanted a place to review them that wasn't just on Goodreads and Amazon.
